Lodge O'Nordic
A traditional wooden house, carefully renovated to offer comfort, space and everything you need to feel at home during your stay.
Available from winter 2026, the lodge will welcome guests joining our holiday stays, and will also be available on request during summer and autumn.
This house is part of our story. It reflects the next step of O’Nordic and, one day, it will become our own home once the future kennel has been built nearby. Before one day calling it home ourselves, we’re happy to share it with the people who choose to experience Lapland with us.
Step outside and you’re only a few metres from the lake. Depending on the season, you might watch birds in the early morning, see the Northern Lights dancing above the trees, or simply enjoy the reflection of the moon on the water.
The surroundings are peaceful, with old traditional farm buildings, small cabins and nature all around. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living room with a traditional Finnish masonry fireplace (leivinuuni), three spacious bedrooms, a bathroom with a sauna, and everything you need to relax after a day outdoors.

What is the difference between O’Nordic Way and a private winter stay?
O’Nordic Way is a flexible way to discover Lapland with our guidance and local recommendations, while keeping freedom in how you structure your days. You have your own rental car, and get two full days with us. More informations can always be asked.
A private winter stay is a fully organised journey designed for a group travelling together, with accommodation, meals and activities planned in advance.
Do I need previous experience with dog sledding or winter activities?
No experience is required.
All activities are adapted to your level, and full instructions are given before each experience. The goal is not performance, but enjoyment and discovery.
Are the stays suitable for beginners?
Yes.
Whether it is your first time in snow, on skis, or with sled dogs, everything is designed to be accessible. We always adapt the pace to the group.
How physically demanding is a winter stay?
The level varies depending on the activities, but most experiences are moderate.
Some days involve gentle walking or driving a dog sled, while others are slower and focused on nature and observation. You are never pushed beyond your comfort level.
Can the itinerary change during the stay?
Yes.
Weather, snow conditions and group energy naturally influence the programme. This flexibility is part of the experience and allows us to always choose the best possible moments each day.

Our dogs are part of the team and their wellbeing always comes first. Rest days, adapted workloads and individual attention are an essential part of how we operate.
How many people are in a private winter stay?
Our private stays are designed for small groups, up to 6 guests.
This allows us to keep the experience personal, flexible and close to nature.

Where do the stays take place?
All stays are based in Posio, Finnish Lapland, near Kuusamo and Rovaniemi, surrounded by lakes, forests and national parks such as Riisitunturi and Oulanka.
