What's included
Welcome in Kuusamo/Rovaniemi
Transfer from Kuusamo or Rovaniemi airport to Posio. Check-in at your accommodation.
Shared dinner on the evening of your arrival, during which the week’s activity schedule will be presented.
Dog sledding and cani-hiking
After a hearty breakfast, head to the O’Nordic camp. The week begins with an introduction to the dogs and the site.
You’ll then receive instructions on how to drive your own sled — pay close attention to the tips to fully enjoy the ride and follow safety guidelines.
The route takes you through lakes and forests. After the tour, enjoy a relaxing moment with the dogs, giving them well-deserved cuddles, followed by grilled food and hot drinks at the O’Nordic laavu.
In the afternoon, go on a snowshoe hike accompanied by one of our dogs — often one who’s retired and no longer part of the sled team.
At the end of the day, return to your accommodation and unwind in the sauna after this first active day.
Riisitunturi National Park
We’ll explore the frozen tree sculptures known as “Tykky” in Riisitunturi.
The hike takes us through the boreal forest with stunning views over Lake Kitka — the perfect setting to enjoy this magical day.
During the lunch break around the fire, we’ll share stories and connect, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere among the group.
Reindeer farm & optional activities*
Visit and walk with reindeer. In full immersion at a local herder’s farm, you’ll be surrounded by reindeer as you feed them their favorite treats.
Afterwards, you can choose from various optional activities (*prices may vary).
Korouoma or optional activities
Let’s head out for our final discovery hike: the frozen waterfalls of Korouoma — a unique site in Finland.
You can also choose from other optional activities*: snowshoe hikes, cani-hiking, ice fishing, visiting Ruka, or a day trip to Rovaniemi.

Dog sledding & backcountry ski tour
Get ready for your second dog sledding adventure! After building confidence during your first ride, you’ll enjoy this one even more, fully embracing the connection with the dogs and the vastness of Lake Kitka.
In the afternoon, we’ll head deep into the forest for a backcountry “ski-shoe” tour — a unique mix between skiing and snowshoeing. Expect new sensations and beautiful discoveries along the way.
Return flight
Transfer to Kuusamo or Rovaniemi airport.
